2020 - 2017 | I am attending Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, majoring in Communication Arts encompassing both graphic design and illustration, and graduating cum laude a semester early with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art degree. Here is where most of the fine lines, wrinkles and flaws of my technique were ironed out with unrelenting practice. It never relented… so thanks to my professors; they probably weren’t paid enough to put up with me.

2017 - Big Bang | I am a teenager with too much time on her hands and arguably not enough friends to make up for it, so I spend all of my time doodling, drawing or painting, and churning out dozens of Pyramid-artshow-ready pieces a month. I place at the national level of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for two years in a row, revel in the grandeur of ceremonies at Carnegie Hall in New York, and cringe at the gold medal going to my silly, satirical drawing of a turkey pen on Thanksgiving morning. I am a child going red in the face with concentration, furiously rubbing crayons and markers on paper and making 2-dimensional dolls while I’m on vacation away from my toys.

I can still rely on the blitz method of crafting I adopted as a kid to get the job done and, at the same time, leave a human touch that makes even a simple drawing feel charming.
